Sake is a culture born from rice, water, and human hands. Each brand has its own personality, and behind every bottle is the story of its maker. We launched Kuraport as a passport for brewery tourism — to share the appeal of sake and the people who brew it.
Lower the barrier to brewery tours
Brewery tours can seem intimidating. Kuraport removes that anxiety by providing information such as whether tours are available. When you know a brewery, you may come to love the sake made there.
Protecting sake breweries
The sake industry faces many challenges: difficulty obtaining new licenses, lack of successors, and financial difficulties. Historic breweries are quietly disappearing. If more people come to know breweries and find reasons to visit, there may be more people who not only 'drink' sake but also 'learn, visit, and support' it. With that hope, Kuraport continues to share information about sake breweries.
